Playability broken by update

I have been playing this game as a favourite for more than 10 years since its first incarnation on Windows. I purchased it on iPad the moment it was available and did not regret it. But now the new look in the latest update has ruined it. Please, please, make the classic top-down view, colour scheme and simplified icons an option at least! This is not resistance to change, its an issue of playability. The distortion and the effect on the colours make it impossible to recognize the pattern on the board and is especially difficult for anyone with slight colour blindness who does not want to go for the painful pastel or ultra-loud options. The game is a strategy classic--no reason to change the look so drastically. As it is now, I will not be able to play it or recommend it anymore. I hope it can be fixed, as I will miss it.
