Very loss design.

Please make switch 2D/3D and add classic color scheme.

Best strategy game

Best strategy game on any mobile device. But update almost ruined it, bring back old graphics, please.

Great game!

Thanks for listening to feedback. The game is awesome! Graphics are still so-so, but playable again.

Awesome!

After redesigning to classic colors the game become awesome again! Could you add more levels? And could I back my progress up to iCloud or something else?

icloud please

Thanks for the great game! But ios 7 comes to release and it seems game progress will be gone if there would not be an icloud backup... Plus it would be nice to use it to sync between iphone and ipad! I will change my rating if you implement sync.

Highly recommended

This is the very first review I write about an App, and I do this almost 1 year and a half since when Ive installed it for the very first time on my iPhone. Ill be concise: it the only App Ive never thought of removing, which is still constantly played daily and which will assure me lot of fun for long, given the high number of scenarios. A MUST HAVE!

Annoying

Latest update is absolutely ugly and unplayable, I had to restore previous version from a Time Machine backup. I hate new graphics.

Still on 2.6

I dont want to be rude but… Whats in the statement "the new graphics made Slay ugly and unplayable" you dont understand? Everybody says that! Its not a matter of personal taste, the new colors are not so easy to distinguish as the previous ones. PLEASE leave old graphics AND colors as an option. So we could be free again to accept automatic updates. Previous comment on 3.1: This update made Slay UGLY and unplayable, why you changed the PLAYER COLOR? Its from the beginning that we all play with the green and now you CHANGED IT? Why? Theres no sense. Its only confusing. Why you did this? And please put the old graphics back in place or at least leave this as an option, now you can barely distinguish the rank of men, before of this "downgrade" it was sufficient a glimpse of the eye. Now its unplayable, especially on the iPhone, and also the tiny dots on the map are not visible anymore. Sean, please.

Fantastic game

I have finished ALL the level, when release other level?

Best Game

This is my favorite game! We are waiting for a new expansion.. Please I finished 85-90% of the game...

Awesome Strategy Game

Perfect game. Dont listen to the haters. You get 468 maps with the purchase, so all of these people complaining about not getting all the maps when you purchase it are just whiners. It would take days and days of continuous play to play through all the maps you get with it. Completely and totally worth the purchase, and this is coming from someone who has spent less than $30 total on all games in the last seven years. Addictive.

Great investment

I bought this game a long time ago and it never gets old. There are so many levels and each one can be replayed to get a better-lower-score so that it is really an evergreen game. Mechanics are simple and deep enough to keep you engaged for a very long time. Read the title of the review and it says it all. Its a great investment of money and time.

I still play this game after seven years!

Ive had this game installed on my last three phones and I still play it. The only thing I can think of right now that would make this game better would be to put on each house the number of hexagons it is serving. Sometimes at the end of larger boards when Im trying to kill the enemy I have to count every spot on each turn to determine whether I can kill the enemy or not. Another way of possibly doing that would be show a positive number or negative number based off of how many spots are required based on the number of men. For instance, if I had 10 of the basic man and only had 13 hexagons, it would show -7 on the spot, and if I had 23 spots it would show a 3 on the house.

A Classic

I remember the first time I played this game. It came in a demo disc with other great games like Serious Sam. Its great that Sean put Slay into the market!

Good game, not so great packaging

Ive been playing the game for about 2 years (I played the lite version for the first 1.5 because I hate spending money), & Im becoming increasingly frustrated with this purchase. There arent bugs so much as things that bug me after having purchased the game. I really enjoy playing the game (download Slay Lite first if you havent played it before), but there are so many small quirks to the paid version I can only give it 2 stars ⭐️⭐️. Heres why: 1. The game itself hasnt been modified or updated for 20 YEARS & the price is $4.99. Im not complaining about that so much except for Id rather have about $3.99 of that back for what I got. 2. There are lots of levels, but then the creator goes & makes "additional levels" available for an additional fee. When I purchased the game I thought I was getting all of the levels, including the ones shaped like certain nouns (people, places, things or ideas). These additional levels cost a whopping $0.99/26 or a "discounted" $10 for all 18 pages. 3. As far as I know, the in-app purchase doesnt act like the "complete my album" option in iTunes , so, even if you wanted to buy 1 page of 26 maps, you couldnt do so without having to consider paying $10 now versus $18 later. Its like trying to scam the people who really like the game because so few do play and like it but when they do he needs every single penny to survive financially (note: this is not how to win fans of the game) 4. People who purchase the app should be able to make & store their own custom levels. Again, especially for the price, this needs to happen. Id pay $4.99 to be able to make custom levels. 5. Online turn-based games need to happen. It would put the game in the category of others like Words With Friends where you can move at your own pace but still get good, genuine competition instead of only a local pass & play as it is now 6. The interface / GUI could use a major update as well. Variants still make me think Im playing a Win95 PC game that this was originally developed for. 6. Even the pass & play is wonky. "Multiplayer" doesnt used the same starting map as solo but its not the same for 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 players- from what I can tell the maps are all different with different numbers of players on each map. 7. Allow custom color schemes for any level & be able to store up to 10 of them. Currently Im stuck with no great options and because Im color-deficient I choose a them (rainbow) that gives me a bold color (red). Im sure there are more but hopefully this gives any potential buyers some insight into whether or not this game with all left these quirks are worth buying (at the moment I would say I wish I had my money back) & also gives the developer knowledge of what needs to change about the app.

Awesome game. Minor tweaks.

Its a fun game. But too many levels that are just terrible. Guillotine. Cant even move. Really frustrating. This is the most Ive spent on an app and I regret it.

Simple, Challenging, Fun... $$

I really like games like this. Its very easy to learn, quite challenging over various difficulty levels, every game is different, and its quite fun. The graphics could be updated, but at least there are a few graphics mods to choose from. My biggest complaint was that I paid for the additional map pack only to find that half were unlocked, not all. What a jerk move by the developer. Total money grab.

Been playing for a decade

I had the PC shareware version of this a decade ago and loved it then and love it now. Its very fun and relaxing, and the game design is so elegant and perfect. I wish the AI was smarter and there were some more game modes, like fewer but smarter opponents, or preset territories. Not a fan of all the different graphics skins, but the game is so perfect, I dont care.

Bought app, but now must buy a map in order to play!!!!!

10+ yrs ago I purchased this PC game & it was a favorite. Thrilled to Re-purchase it (not the lite version) for the iPhone. Absolutely a 5 star game----but after playing a few games, am locked out of the app unless I purchase maps!!! I cant even play map #1 !!! I often do in game purchases, but have never been locked out of a purchased game until I make an additional purchase. I feel extremely cheated.

Mixed impressions on update

I like that the update adds the option of buying new maps and playing at different difficulty levels for each map. But with the latest update, the ability to play in landscape mode was removed. Cant even play with the screen rotated 180 degrees (so that the power cord is out of the top). I also dont like all the maps going from one page to 18 pages (plus another 18 pages for the new maps)
