i have already purchase the app for about $3 and now i have spend 1-10 dollar for more maps

This game hadnt been updated for a couple of years. The update brings some options that arent really necessary, but the changes to map selection are a big plus. Im not sure how the difficulty changes will work out because it seemed like the levels were graded before mostly by how easy you could win regardless of AI strategy. Like having more larger starting territories to dominate early. I still beat a "master" opponent in 10 turns on those maps. The real difference may end up being setting the old "very hard" maps to easy to get a better idea of strategy when going to the hardest difficulty. But some maps just seem impossible to beat because they seem the be based off of luck as opposed to a strategy that can apply on all maps. Still, this is my favorite strategy game to play and letting me beat all of the levels will be nice. Plus new content is great if I end up wanting it. The only other thing that I want in the update that I am not sure was applied was cloud synching so that if my phone gets wiped my progress is still there. I have ended up playing half of the levels twice to fill them up after losing progress to software updates.

I have to give it 5 stars. Ive been playing for years. I love this game. And the new look is fantastic. But why, after all this time, is there not an option to turn off surrenders? There is nothing more frustrating than clicking in the wrong place and seeing your game end. I like to crush them. Annihilate them! Id love an option to turn surrendering off completely. Also, my iPad seems to have lost its ability to rotate the screen. It only works in the main orientation. Hope thats a bug and not a feature. The new main screen is fine. But I do miss the ability to see most of my progress with a quick glance. Wish we could switch back and forth. Give it a trial run. Or just save yourself the time and buy it now. A very addictive game.

I dont mind the addition of in-app purchases for more maps; this might be the only game Ill actually use that sort of feature in. But the UI changes throughout are a mess- social network integration shouldnt, in my opinion, ever exist, while the removal of half of the settings (which I used to disable several things that some find useful but I only find irritating) was deeply aggravating. Finally, replacing some of the OS-native interactions (confirm end turn pop-up, for example) with clunky homemade ones is not only jarring, but makes it harder to play.

This is an amazing strategy game. Im not a fan of the new layout with so many different pages that are slow to scroll through. What really bugs me is the price of the new maps. Maybe if they were $1-3, but over twice the original price of the game for some more maps? Madness.

The difficulty adjustment added a nice degree of additional replayability over the previous fixed difficulties. Landscape mode is (temporarily) gone, but Sean said on his FB page that he is addressing that ASAP. The only thing I would change is to have an option to turn off the prompts to share your victories on FB and Twitter. I play this game so much that I would spam them. I can’t wait to dig into the new maps, but first I’m replaying all the games on the highest difficulty. This is my go-to game on the iPad, and I’ve been playing a version of it since the PocketPC days.

Love this game. I just finished all the levels so having the ability to play the easy levels on a harder difficulty is great. But I need landscape mode back. I play most of the levels with my iPad turned on the side. Please please please fix that. Thanks for the update! Im liking it.

Can no longer scroll map while AI takes its turn. Should not have removed native OS ui popups. All around feels a bit clunky. 10 bucs for new complete set of maps is steep when the game only cost 99c to start with...

I am very disappointed by the fact that the orientation is now locked in portrait mode. My iPad is attached to a keyboard, I only use it in landscape mode. This seems to be the end of Slay for me.

I havent been able to really enjoy the 4.0 update because the ai takes forever now. I liked it before where the ai took its turns in a few seconds. I also dont like how my minimap doesnt show unused men anymore. And they dont jump up and down like they used to when they can be used. Has anyone else experienced this. This has always been my goto game and this update has really killed it for me.

Been playing Slay since PC ver. 2.0 and continue to enjoy it. Enjoying the new maps, even if a little pricey! Looking forward to the orientation fix. Would really appreciate the "friendly game" option from the PC version - multitude of new islands. Would really really appreciate the option to choose starting position, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6,which would truly improve re-playability.

The loss of landscape mode and one page map selection are significant drawbacks. Id be more than willing to buy some more maps if I wasnt forced to deal with the loss of functionality.

I cant say more than others already have. My recommendation is to read all reviews to get a good idea that people love the game and feel the new version needs some tweaks.

Its one of the best turn-based strategy games that I have ever played. The color scheme isnt pretty but playing against friends on every map makes up for it. My only real qualm is that the new maps are so pricey. Whole games on steam cost less! I have also purchased their risk game so dont say I dont want to support this dev.

This was a favorite of mine when it was on the PC, and it works even better as an app. Its a war strategy game that you can pick up anytime, assess whats going on, and continue the fight. Simple, yet challenging.

This game is fun. New update looks good and adds some things but i dont like that now i cant play horizontally. Makes it hard with charger port and comfort. Plz fix.

I use to play this game all the time because I love it. But no horizontal mode makes it unplayable for me. Please, please, please bring it back!

I played this game all the time until the added features a month or so ago. I had every map beat and was replaying them trying to beat my scores. Since theres no horizontal mode now tho it hurts my eyes and makes me a bit sick after just a few minutes. Been waiting for the fix so I can play it again.

I love this game and paid $10 for the full upgrade. Lots more levels seemed great. Until I started playing. Half the games have minimal territories and no space to build. I loved that this game could be very hard and take it to you in higher levels. But watching three unbuildable territories get demolished and you just watch is a waste of money.
