Ive been playing and advocating Slay for the past 8 years, on various platforms. It was my all-time favorite. The iPad version was spectacular, but there was a period where the developer (Sean) went off the reservations and added a series of UI changes that made the game ugly and mostly unplayable, as the map was hard to touch and characters were lousy. I jokingly insulted them that it was like having applied "Comic Sans" to the entire game. I removed it from all my Apple devices until a month ago and Im glad I did! This is a wonderful spectacular return of the game I adored! I am hooked once again! One (minor) feature request - when I win, or when they surrender, I loved having all the territories change to my color. Can you bring that back?

New patch makes the game well rounded in allowing us to play in multiple difficulty levels for each board. It also allows more maps to be introduced in the game. One gripe about this new update is that we lost the ability to play in landscape mode. Landscape works great on iPads and I wish it will get reintroduced...

Ive been addicted to Slay for at least 10 years, possibly longer. I first played it on a Treo 650 or 750.

When I have exhausted all my other games I always fall back to Slay, and I have had Slay for 2 years now.

Fantastic Risk-like light strategy game. Better than Risk in ways because there is a lot less luck involved. Still one of my favorite iOS games years later. Thrilled the latest version supports landscape mode again!! Wish the old style method of selecting maps still worked, but the current system is decent and growing on me. The only thing I really want is iOS achievements that work offline!

Tons of maps and a steady pace of increasing difficulty make this game a well balanced strategy title with great replayability.

Good game but it would be nice if they told you, you have to by the maps separate.

Where did my maps go?! I have been working systematically to conquer all maps to highest level. If yo wanted to sell more maps fine but WHY did you take what was previously purchase. I should give you a one star for that evil move. I like the game though. Soooooo disappointed.

Every year or so, I re-download this game and play until its over again because its so addicting and enjoyable to play.

Ive had this app for years and Ive kept it when I updated phones. Ive defeated all the original maps on the highest difficulty setting, but I still come back on occasion to replay some maps. The game play is simple, yet some of the maps are rather challenging to defeat. If youre really in to the maps, last years update doubled the number of available maps with an IAP.

Slay loads , but any map I click on only highlights in a grey square and the screen remains at the map selection screen. Ive tried a dozen maps on different map selection pages and they all do the same thing.

Ive been playing this game since I got an iPhone 3. I love it. Id love to see some stability updates. I upgraded to the iPhone 6S Plus and I cant use it anymore :-(

Been playing this game for years now, perfect for killing time, multiplayer is fun with friends. Some of my suggestions to make this stellar game even better: *Add Custom Games- Allow Players to pick a color, rate of tree growth(farther spread in less turns) *Allow Teammates: Letting them travel across ally tiles, would add a Co-Op feature to the game! *Optional Larger Maps (Ten times the size would make it epic!) *Separate Continents- Make different continents to add another layer to the game, maybe add a system for naval units. (Four types like the normal units, villager, spearman, knight, Baron.)

none of the maps open on my 6s plus, even after I purchased the $10 all map package. please fix this or refund my money so I can give you a proper rating. I have enjoyed playing slay on my iPad in the past. thanks!

This is one of my favorite mobile games. Its a ton of fun to play. The developer really stands behind his work and supports the title well. Just a week or so after reporting an issue with the iPhone 6s, a patch was released to resolve it. Thanks so much!

Looks like you might want to pass on this, but that would be a mistake. Great way to pass the time.
